MANUEL FERNÁNDEZ PRESIDENT FASHION ART INSTITUTE Creator of Fashion Art Fashion art presents a joint work between artists in plastics and the fashion designer, in which their respective languages are articulated and combined in the creation of a dress. Tat is, in itself, an authentic work of art; a project that is in constant evolution, where the fusion of art and fashion is performed in a surprisingly natural way for the viewer, giving a higher profle to the artists’ work and using the outft as scenic support. Tis achieves results of exceptional plastic richness and opens new spheres of creation. Te Fashion Art exhibition is an ambitious project that was made in collaboration with great Spanish and Latin American artists in plastic with examples from 200 artists participating in the initiative. At the same time, Fashion Art Institute has tried to set an example in how social work practice and art practice can work hand-in-hand for the beneft of people at risk of social exclusion. Trough educational workshops developed during our exhibitions, Fashion Art Institute has made an important efort to play a role in the quality of work and social integration of “at-risk” populations. During the ten years of exhibitions, Fashion Art was visited by millions of persons and it has been very well received by the world´s media. Fashion Art EU is a new challenge for Fashion Art Institute, where 28 artists in plastic from the 28 member countries, interpret the values and the basic principles of the European Union, through outfts inspired in the roots of each nation. Te dimensionality of these masterpieces creates a close and legible link with the eyes of the audience, making European Union citizens feel represented. Fashion Art Institute wishes to thank the complicity and the collaboration of all the artists that participated in this new venture, and also all the staf and in particular, Eugenio Recuenco for creating all these wonderful images which breathe art in every sense...
