According to the etymology of the word, it can mean ‘vast land’, but also ‘beautiful, loving woman’. My ‘Europe’ is a woman who looks straight ahead towards the future, her closed mouth expressing refection, observation, analysis before action, commitment... Her hair growing in all directions and skirting the dress represents (happy) progress towards the future – hope that never ends. Te blue colour is the title: colour of the European fag, with the star representing a unique, strong and EUROPE solid Europe.
