BIOGRAPHY Cvetro Marsic (born 1960 in Koper, Slovenia) is a graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, where he received a classical education in drawing CVETO and painting. Linked to the New Slovenian Image and therefore related to the light and ironic fgurative painting that triumphs in Europe afer the outbreak MARSIC of the Italian Transvanguardia and the Central-European Neo-Expressionism. Marsic’s painting continue the informalist tradition, that is nourished by a specifc personal imprint and produces the quality of the painting paste, which is made of earth and evokes the landscape itself. He participates successfully in numerous international art fairs. Installed during a decade in Lisbon, his latest exhibitions can be seen in the Aragonese Castle of Ischia, Naples, the Museum of Contemporary Artin Istria, Croatia, and the Don Luis I Foundation in Portugal. In the last years, Marsič has been working in his new studio in the Piran Salt Pans in Slovenia, and in Grajal de Campos, Spain. ARTIST STATEMENT title: NESTING DANCE I’ve been developing for several years in my painting the theme “NESTING”. I have develop a serie of actions in the nature. Tese actions are documented in technique: photographies and Video art by Petra Paula Merino. Te metaphor of “nested” brings us to the most fundamental human feelings. Nesting is a symbiosis of the ACRYLIC ON CANVAS feminine and the masculine. FAI INSPIRATION Te inspiration is based on the interaction of country and cities, where peasants adopted certain dressing customs from city clothing, with a certain infuence from the Eruopean way of dressing.
