Mission:
To promote interaction between artistic disciplines from art and fashion design; to contrast ideas, working together to achieve a cultural and educational integration, contributing to the knowledge and dissemination of art, design, and culture
Vision:
To set up the Fashion Art Institute (FAI) in Latin America with a permanent collection of Fashion Art, currently consisting of more than 100 works, which will be expanded as international exhibitions of Fashion Art occur
To develop a series of workshops for training and creation for young people at risk of exclusion, disabled people, and women, generating an important exchange of ideas via conferences, publications, and collaborations with artists and creators, and creating a reference space in the fusion of fashion, art, and culture on an international level
Institutional values:
• Solidarity
• Respect for equality and diversity
• Teamwork and compromise
• Creativity
• Honesty
Our philosophy:
The FAI will develop a specific training plan that will improve the current state of fashion and dressmaking, also allowing entry to this sector by people from other circles. For this, it will develop a series of training courses to be divided into two stages:
Promotion of Fashion Art Institute on an international level in the area of fashion and art fusion
To promote patronage and dressmaking??subjects currently not well encouraged in the country??to build small and medium-sized companies and micro companies.
To collaborate with various entities for microloans for student initiatives
The creation of the Fashion Art Factory whose objective will be to develop commercial products
The organization of exhibition initiatives (individual or collective) both for emerging as well as for established artists, and regional and international designers
The promotion of artists and fashion designers through the Fashion Art Institute
Setting up of workshops, conferences, and seminars through Fashion Art ´s participating artists, and through international experts in art and fashion, along with prestigious personalities
1. Training for trainers
2. Training for beginners
3. Training for the disabled
Courses will be adapted for low-income women, young artists, and previously selected craftspeople, with totally free activities
